Esther J. Willson, age 80 of White Cloud, passed away following a short illness at her family farm in Wilcox Township on Monday, April 25, 2016 surrounded by her family. Esther was born on February 7, 1936 in Wilcox Township to William A. and Lenora I. (Bartz) Kerstein and later married Emery C. Willson on April 27, 1957 in White Cloud. Emery preceded her in death on July 11, 2008. Esther graduated from White Cloud High School in 1955 and has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area. Esther had been a farmer all her life and continued to farm the family farm in Wilcox Township until her passing and had been a butcher for many years. Esther had been an active member of the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud where she had taken care of the funeral luncheons for many years and had been active in the Ladies Fellowship. Esther also had helped with the food coordination for the White Cloud Quiz Bowl for several years and enjoyed sewing and knitting hats. Esther is survived by her children, Randy (Margaret) Willson of White Cloud; Peggy (Keith) Derks of White Cloud; Ret. US Air Force Msgt. Ricky (Delvina) Willson of Smyrna, Delaware; Harry (Terri) Willson of White Cloud; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; her brothers, Richard Kerstein of Fremont; Peter M. Kerstein of Holland. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Specialist Brian Derks on August 13, 2005. VISITATION : Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel.
