Ethel Rose Stock Ethel Rose Stock, age 98, of White Cloud passed away in White Cloud on Friday Feb. 18, 2000. She was born in Lowell on April 23, 1901 to George Kerr and Rosa (Biere) Kerr and married Walter Stock on March 22, 1924 in Lowell. Walter preceded her in death on Oct. 26, 1976. She was a member of the Lowell United Methodist Church and attended the White Cloud United Methodist Church for many years. She farmed and taught school in the rural Newaygo County schools. A life member and Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, Charter Member of the V.F.W. Sgt. Bowman Post #2053 of WhiteCloud. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Jean (Lloyd) Fraser of Ohio; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters, Delia Austin of Kalamazoo, Ann Haskins of Wahalla, Elsie Malony of Lowell, Esther Staal of Lowell and Selma Dahl of Spring Lake. Funeral services were held on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at the White Cloud United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Jaquish officiating, Interment in Big Prairie Cemetery.
