Eugene Clark, age 91 of Whitehall and formerly of White Cloud, passed away Monday, March 12, 2001 at his home in Whitehall. He was born on February 11, 1910 in Newaygo County to Charles and Margaret (May) Clark. He married Bertha Griffen on March 28, 1944 and she preceded him in death on January 3, 1977. He later married Beulah Loew on February 9, 1982 and has been a resident of the Whitehall area for the past 19 years. He had been a heavy equipment operator at the Newaygo County Road Commission until his retirement and had attended the Whitehall United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Beulah of Whitehall; his daughters, Donna (Richard) Hall of Sparta; Bonnie Kay (Jerry) Ringler of Newaygo; Margie Ann (Ernest) Nader of Longmont, Colorado; his stepson, Glenn (Verna) Irwin of Boyne City; 14 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren; his brother, Virgil (Reva) Clark of White Cloud. Funeral services were held on Friday, March 16, 2001 from the White Cloud United Methodist Church with Pastor Anita Hahn of the Whitehall United Methodist Church presiding with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery.
