Eugene P. Tovey, age 77 of Fremont passed away Thursday, February 19, 2004. He was born on April 12, 1926 in Harrisville, Michigan to Edward James and Kathleen Elizabeth (Bolton) Tovey and married Anna Mae Hendrickson on May 15, 1952 in Fremont at the All Saints Catholic Church. Eugene was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Fremont Lodge #1555 and life member of the Michigan D.A.V. He was an Veteran of the United States Army where he served during World War II and member of All Saints Catholic Church. Surviving is his loving wife Anna Mae of Fremont; daughter, Jean Ann (Ken Currie) of Bailey; sons, Joe Allan (Toni Lynn) Tovey of Newaygo and James Carl (Karen) Tovey of Muskegon; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grand children; sisters, Helen Hones of South Carolina, Mary Luce of Jenison, Ann Anson of Harbor Beach, Michigan and Rita Loveland of Kent City; brothers, Robert (Emma) Tovey of Grand Rapids and Willis (Marcella) Tovey of Cedar Springs; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers. Funeral services were held on Monday, February 23, 2004 at the All Saints Catholic Church with Rev.
