Eva A. Barnes, age 88 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2000 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. She was born on March 8, 1912 in Gregory, Michigan to Roy and Lena (Meaben) Rice and had worked as a sales clerk in the retail market. She was a member of the Fremont United Methodist Church where she had been active in the various Circles of the church. She is survived by her sons, Paul (Leane) Blake of Fremont; David (Renee) Blake of Crystal Falls, MI; six grandchildren, Erin Blake; Andrew Blake; Bethany Blake Miller; Heather Blake Davis; Rebecca Blake; Adam Blake; 10 great grandchildren; one sister, Ethel Brown of Traverse City, MI; 2 brothers, Duane Galbreath of Millington, MI; Carl Galbreath of Florida; special cousins, Charles and Alberta Rice and Daryl and Jean Waters. Her sisters, Bertha and Isabelle and brothers, Fred and Roy preceded her in death. Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 4, 2000 from the Fremont United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Duncan presiding with interment in the Thetford Cemetery in Clio, Michigan. Friends may consider the Transitional Health Services Patio Improvement Fund for memorial contributions.
