Eva G. Church, age 81, of Holton passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2017, at Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Eva was born on May 10, 1935, in Muskegon Heights to Edward Anton and Gertrude May (Shriver) Rupar and married Robert Roy Church on July 25, 1953, in Fremont. She was a registered Nurse and had worked at Gerber Memorial Hospital for over 45 years. Eva loved caring for people and would do anything for just about anyone. She enjoyed reading, poems, quips, recipe books, playing Chinese checkers with her sisters, and treasured her family as one of her prized possessions.

Eva is survived by her loving husband, Robert; daughter, Kari (Dave) Finney of Holton; grandson, Seth (Jessica Heasley) Finney of Fremont; great-grandchild, Connor Finney; sisters, Toni Rupar, Mariann (Norm) Deuling, Peggy (Larry) Bisson, and Pat (Thomas) Helferich; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her infant son, Robert Allen Church and brother-in-law, Chuck Derby.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with Pastor Todd Deuling officiating. There will be visitation for friends prior to the service from 1 – 3 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Clark Cemetery.
