Allen, Eva Belle (Rood) Eva Belle (Rood) Allen, age 73 of Newaygo, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids . She was born on October 27, 1928 in Grand Rapids to Burton and Mina (Patterson) Rood and married Marvin Allen on November 29, 1947 in Grand Rapids . She had been a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her Marvin, her husband of 54 years; her children, Glenn Allen (Charlene) Allen of Newaygo; Randall Allen of California; Marvanna (James) Clark of White Cloud; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Memorial services were held on Sunday, September 22, 2002 from the at the Newaygo V.F.W. Sportsmans Post #4249 with interment following cremation at the Whipple Cemetery .
