Evelyn R. Andersen, age 89 of Holton, passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2004 at the Brookhaven Nursing Center in Muskegon following a short illness. Evelyn was born on July 13, 1915 in Buckley, Michigan to Emory and Anna (Fletcher) Clark and later married Joe Anderson in September 1952 in Grand Haven. Joe preceded her in death in September 1976. Evelyn has been a resident of the Holton area for the past 53 years when she moved from Buckley. She loved to read, enjoyed gardening and was affiliated with the Holton United Methodist Church. She is survived by her daughters, Ruby (Robert) Bean of Holton; Karen (Roger) Williams of Holton; Ruth (Boyce) Walker of Scott, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren; many great and great great grandchildren. Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 21, 2004 from the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Rev. Ken Bremer of the Holton United Methodist Church presiding with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may consider the Alzheimers Association for memorial contribution in memory of Evelyn.
