Evelyn M. Burrell, age 90 of Hesperia, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the Mercy Health – Sherman Campus. Evelyn was born on January 12, 1928 in Muskegon to Ferdinand and Matilda (Conlon) Grossman and later graduated from North Muskegon High School. Evelyn met and later married Jack Burrell on January 22, 1972 in Hesperia and has been a longtime resident of the Hesperia area. Evelyn had worked at the Gerber Products Company in Fremont for 35 years as an accountant until her retirement. Evelyn enjoyed crocheting, knitting, quilting and all types of crafts; had enjoyed riding motorcycles in her younger years; traveling throughout the United States and Alaska; fishing with Jack and was a firefighters wife for many years. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jack of Hesperia; her step children, Patty (Ben) Bolser of Atlanta, Michigan; Kathy (Archie) Reno of Hessel, Michigan; Jacki Burrell of Petoskey; Mike Burrell of Hesperia; Mark (Cindy) Burrell of Hesperia; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her sons, Tom Clark, Gary Clark and Joel Clark; and several sisters. VISITATION : Friday, May 11, 2018 from 1-3pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel.
