Evelyn L. Morrison, age 91 of Holton, passed away Sunday at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Evelyn was born on May 2, 1924 in Holton to Fred and Winnie (Tietsort) Hendrickson and graduated from Holton High School. Evelyn met and later married William Morrison on April 22, 1944 in Holton and he preceded her in death on September 23, 1999. Evelyn started work at the Meadows Nursing Center in 1968 and worked until her retirement in 1982 as the Food Supervisor. Evelyn was a member of the Holton Evangelical Lutheran Church and had been active in the Ladies Circle of the church, was past president of the Holton PTA; enjoyed knitting, baking and sewing. Evelyn especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren. Evelyn is survived by her children, Judy (Brien) VanSchoick of Holton; Richard (Kathleen) Morrison of Twin Lake; her grandchildren, Wendy (Eric) Mansfield; Nicholas Morrison; her great grandchildren, Joseph and Jaxson Mansfield; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mereta Cregg and her brothers, Wayne and Murel Hendrickson.
