Lewis Jr., Everett Sammy S. Everett Sammy S. Lewis Jr., age 81 of White Cloud, formerly of Morley, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2005 at the Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Sammy was born on August 18, 1923 in Morley to Everett and Minnie (Otteson) Lewis Sr. and grew up in Morley until he finished school and then joined the United States Army and later served in the Merchant Marine. Sammy had been a heavy equipment operator and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by his sister, Evelyn Hay of Big Rapids; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Marjorie and Virginia and his brothers, Forrest, Frederick, Joseph and Gary. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 16, 2005 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Pastor Philip Bongard of the Luther Bible Chapel presiding with interment in the Aetna Township Cemetery in Morley.
