F. Clayton Fetterley, age 79 of White Cloud, passed away Monday, December 28, 2009 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Clayton was born on September 25, 1930 in Woodville to Delbert Benjamin and Ruth (Hull) Fetterley and has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud Area. Clayton married Suzanne Martin on August 16, 1968 in Newaygo and had been the supervisor at the White Cloud Public Schools Transportation Garage from June 1967 until his retirement in 1990. Clayton enjoyed hunting, camping, and spending the winter months in Arizona following his retirement. He was a lifetime member of the American Motorcycle Association and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle throughout the United States. Clayton served on the White Cloud Fire Department Fire for 22 years, Chief from March 20, 1975 until July 12, 1984. Clayton also served on the White Cloud City Council for many years and enjoyed being active in civic activities in White Cloud. Clayton served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Clayton is survived by his wife of 41 years, Suzie Fetterley of White Cloud; his children, Cindy (Fred) Knapp of Montague; Karen (Jim) Maike of White Cloud; Curt (Kathy) Fetterley of Mt. Pleasant; Robert Lovell of Charleston, South Carolina; Linda Lovell of Fremont; Lee Fetterley of White Cloud; 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Clayton was preceded in death by his brother, Wilbur Fetterley. FUNERAL MEMORIAL SERVICES : Thursday, December 31, 2009 at 1pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel.
