Obituary

Adair, Fay Fremont Fay Adair, age 77, of Fremont passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2002, at the Home Of Hope in Grand Rapids. He was born on August 6, 1924, in Marion, Michigan to Charles and Revay (Brown) Adair and married Ethel Bowman on June 21, 1952 in Fremont. He was a teacher and counselor in the Fremont School System for 32 years before his retirement. He was an Army Air Corps. veteran of WWII, member of the Michigan Association Of Retired School Personal (MARSP), Fremont V.F.W. Post #6898, and Fremont United Methodist Church. Fay is survived by his loving wife Ethel of Fremont; daughters, Ellen (John) Jakeway of Grand Rapids and Judy (Bob) Watters of Comstock Park; son, John Adair of Grand Rapids; 5 grandchildren, Daniel Grossebacher, David Grossenbacher, Robby Watters, Danny Watters, and Katy Watters; sisters, Marion Smith and Georgia Mengers both of Grand Rapids; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Pat Adair. Funeral services were held at the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bertram Vermeulen officiating. Interment is in Maple Grove Cemetery.
