Felicia K. Phyllis DAmico, age 78 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Phyllis was born on March 3, 1932 in Chicago to Joseph Alexander and Falicia (Zelgiewicz) Mitrius and has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area. Phyllis had been a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Mt. Greenwood, Illinois for a short period of time and then worked at White Cloud Products for several years until her retirement. She enjoyed the Michigan outdoors, watching wildlife at her home, photography, fishing and writing. Phyllis is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Lawrence Larry (Kim) DAmico Jr. of New Lenox, Illinois; her grand daughter, Nicole DAmico of New Lenox, Illinois; former husband, Lawrence DAmico Sr. of Oak Lawn, Illinois; brothers, Martin (Dorothy) Mitrius of Schaumburg, Illinois; Daniel (Ann) Mitrius of Downers Grove, Illinois; sisters, Valerie Bernick of White Cloud; Natalie Kolander of Schaumburg, Illinois; sister-in-laws, Eleanor Mitrius of North Judson, Indiana; Virginia Mitrius of White Cloud; lifelong friend, Norm Clary of White Cloud; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Gina Marie Shook on August 13, 2005 and by her brothers, Robert Mitrius, Paul Mitrius, and Henry Mitrius. Memorial services will be held in the summer of 2010 at the family home following cremation. Friends may consider the American Lung Association for memorial contributions in memory of Phyllis.
