Florence M. Dockter, age 85 of White Cloud passed away Thursday, December 27, 2001 at the Laurels of Sandy Creek Nursing Home in Wayland. She was born on July 26, 1916 in Stonefort, Illinois to William and Lillian Waldorf Sr. and married her husband of 68 years, Ray Dockter on May 20, 1933 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She has been a resident of the White Cloud area for the past 38 years where she had been a homemaker. She had owned and operated the Doster Anodizing Company in Doster, Michigan with her husband prior to moving to her retirement and moving to White Cloud. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ and watching her birds. She is survived by her husband, Ray Dockter of White Cloud; her daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline (William) Knowlton of Jenison; her grandchildren, Scott Knowlton; Connie (Andrew) Kozal; her great grandchildren, Kayla Kozal and Andrea Kozal. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Nita Watkins; Alyne Kietzer; her brothers, George Waldorf and William Waldorf. Funeral services were held on Monday, December 31, 2001 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Mr. Larry Beisiegel presiding with interment in the Georgetown Township Cemetery in Jenison.
