Florence A. Fruhwirth, age 93 of White Cloud, formerly of Chicago, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 05, 2009 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Florence was born on January 15, 1916 in Chicago to Joseph and Martha (Jagla) Pawlak and had been a lifelong resident of Chicago until she moved to White Cloud to live with her son due to her health concerns. Florence had been a production worker for many years until her retirement in 1979 and enjoyed dancing, gardening, bowling and crafts. Florence is survived by her children, Harold (Sarah) Engel of Winona Lake, Indiana; Ronald (Kathy) Engel of Grayslake, Illinois; Gerald (Elaine) Engel of White Cloud; her grandchildren, Craig (Lorrisa) Engel; Caroline (John) McClean; Catherine Engel; Christine (Jim) LaManna; Jason Engel; Ken (Connie) Engel; Douglass (Jennifer) Engel; Dennis (Lisa) Engel; Bryan (Jennifer) Engel; Brad (Jennifer) Engel; great grandchildren, Lauren; Blair; Lindsey (Bill) Coleman-Meher; Rachel; Matthew; Zachary; Marissa; Cara; Madelyn; Kyle; Sydney; Dillon; Drew; Ryan; Evan; Carsen; great great grandson William; her niece, Carol Spallino; her god daughter, Barbara Kubian. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Adeline Heatherman and Lucille Sepaniak and by her brother, Chester Pawlak. VISITATION : Sunday, May 10, 2009 from 5-7:30pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. SCRIPTURE VIGIL : Sunday at 7:30pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel.
