Florence Betty (Shineldecker) Giddings, age 77 of Bitely, passed away Tuesday at her daughters home in Muskegon . She was born on June 26, 1925 in Beaver Township to Ethro and Goldie (McGahan) Shineldecker and married Frank Elmer Giddings of Feb. 6, 1946 in Muskegon . Frank preceded her in death on April 18, 1994 . She has been a lifelong resident of the Bitely area where she was a homemaker and member of the Bitely Community Church . She is survived by her children, Betty (Sam) Blais of Muskegon; Nancy (Tom) Beeman of Twin Lake; Donald Giddings of Muskegon; Bruce (Debra) Giddings of Muskegon; Mary (Dan) Leatherman of North Muskegon; John (Deb) Giddings of Muskegon; her grandchildren, Cammy (Max) Maxwell; Pamela Willea; Brian (Kris) Beeman of; Yvonne (Randall) Witham; Michael (Stephine) Giddings; Melissa Leatherman; Krystal Giddings; Amber Leatherman; Gregg Giddings; great grandchildren, Josh, Joey and Jasmin Maxwell; Ryan and Travis Willea; Andrew and Evan Beeman; Tony and Eric Witham; Tyler and Taylor Brown; her sisters, Hazel Hamm; Judy (Chet) Walker; Arlene Klein; Shirley (John) Suttorp; Connie (Jake) Koch; her brothers, Louis (Sandra) Shineldecker. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Beeman in 1992 and brother, William Shineldecker. Funeral services were held on Thursday, January 16, 2003 from the Bitely Community Church with Pastor Kenneth Lyons Jr. presiding with interment in the Lilley Township Cemetery .
