Frances "Gerrie" Rushing Skinner, age 81 of Muskegon, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Mercy Health Partners Mercy Campus in Muskegon. Gerrie was born on September 12, 1939 in Trimble, Tennessee to James A. and Frances (Wilson) Rushing and later moved the Muskegon area where she has been a longtime resident. Gerrie enjoyed bowling, old westerns on television, sewing and ceramics. She will be remembered for her love of collecting dolls and Coke-A-Cola memorabilia. Gerrie is survived by her daughters, Teressa (Ryan) Wilson of Muskegon; Kimberley (Allen) Langlois of Surprise, Arizona; her daughter-in-law, Estela Eaves; 8 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; her brother, James D. Rushing; stepsister, Suzy Crawford; stepbrother, Terry Kokx. Gerrie was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Skinner; her son, Walter Wayne Eaves; her grandchildren, Mary "Angie" Barnes and Harvey Allen Langlois; her parents, Frances "Margaret" Kokx; James A. Rushing; stepfather, Anthony Patrick Kokx; her sisters, Stella Dagen and Marinda Wyant; her brothers, Thomas Rushing and Timothy Rushing. A time to celebrate and remember Gerrie's life will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at the home of her daughter, Teressa and Ryan Wilson from 1-4pm.
