Taylor, Francis Raymond "Ray" Francis Raymond Ray Taylor, age 78 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at his home. Ray was born on February 24, 1926 in Fremont to Dewey William and Ruth (Jones) Taylor and married Marian I. Funk on August 1, 1944 in Cedar Springs. Ray had worked as a forklift driver at NORGE, H.J. Heinz, Speas Apple Juice Company in Fremont, and retired after 18 years from Campbell Wyant Cannon in Muskegon and then continued to work at Harold Borgman Orchards for several years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, working in his garage and cutting firewood. Ray also enjoyed helping people and expected nothing in return. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marian of Fremont; his children, Raymond James Jim Taylor of Fremont; Barbara Taylor of Fremont; Robert (Darlene) Taylor of Hesperia; Ruth (Taylor) Jeske of Hesperia; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; his sisters and brothers, Margaret Bromley of Hart; Mary Giddings of Hart; Edward Earl (Alfreda) Taylor of Louisiana; Joe (Carol) Taylor of Fremont; Helen Finley of Hart; Rosie Smith of Branch, Michigan; Lovide Miller of Hart; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ray was preceded in death by his daughters, Rosa Lynn Taylor on December 27, 1978 and Linda Kay VanderVegte on November 1, 1991; by his brother, Dick Taylor.
