Frank L. Bock, age 88 of Holton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Frank was born on December 30, 1926 in Romeo, Michigan to Frank Herman and Margaret (McGrew) Bock and later married Doris Evelyn McGee on December 31, 1956 at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Brunswick. Frank has been a longtime resident of the area and had worked as a production worker at Kaydon Corporation in Muskegon for over 35 years until his retirement in 1988. Frank enjoyed the Michigan outdoors, fishing, hunting, trapping, and muzzle loading; was known for his beekeeping; had coached little league baseball and womens slo-pitch softball for several years. Frank was also well known for his garden and especially growing roses. Frank is survived by his wife of 58 years, Doris of Holton; his children, Richard Buck (Terry) McGee of Norton Shores; Bill (Pat) McGee of Howard City; Jeanne Bock of Fremont; Frank (Cindy) Bock of Fremont; Joni Kison of North Muskegon; Julie Rogers of Grant; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; his sisters, Margaret Myers of Florida; Bertha Cimino of California; several nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his grandson, Joey Bock; daughter-in-law, Mary McGee; son-in-law, Robert Rogers; brothers, Gordon Bock; Jimmy Bock. VISITATION : Wednesday, January 21, 2015 from 1-3pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with FUNERAL SERVICES at 3pm at the funeral home. INTERMENT : St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery in Brunswick. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Johnson Family Cancer Center in Muskegon.
