Obituary

Frank A. Bonar Jr., age 71 of White Cloud, and formerly of Norwalk, Wisconsin, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at his home following a short battle with cancer. Frank was born on April 17, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland to Frank A. and Lois (Morrison) Bonar Sr. Frank joined the United States Army at the age of 18 and continued to serve in the Unites States Military for 21 years from June 1964 until his honorable discharge on October 21, 1987. Frank specialized as an aviation electronic and communication technician in the United States Army and in the private sector. Frank and Char moved to the White Cloud area in 2015 from Norwalk, member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud, Knights of Columbus and VFW. While living in Wisconsin, Frank was a sheep farmer, 4H Leader, and involved with the FFA and forestry and agricultural industries. Frank also enjoyed coin collecting, family genealogy, history reading and sci-fi. Frank is survived by his wife, Charlene of White Cloud; his daughter, Nancy (Jim) Dick of Hickory, North Carolina; his grandchildren, Cody, Amber, and Julie; his step children, Don, Donna, and Debra; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; his brother, Joseph Bonar of Baltimore, Maryland; special cousins, Dotti, Millie, Margie, Bob as well as other cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank A. and Lois Bonar Sr. and his first wife, Marianne (Crabtree) Bonar in 1997 VISITATION : Tuesday, January 23, 2018 from 10 – 11am at the St. Joseph Catholic Hall 965 Newell Street White Cloud MI 49349. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL : Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud. INTERMENT : St. Boniface Cemetery in Chetak, Wisconsin in the spring of 2018.
