Frank Hansen Jr., age 91 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Hospital in Fremont. Frank was born on March 12, 1925 in Stanwood to Frank R. and Inez (Noud) Hansen and later graduated from Fremont High School. Frank was drafted into the United States Navy at an early age and served his country during World War II. Frank had been a machinist at Continental Motors in Muskegon for several years until his retirement in 1988. Frank married Eloyce Ryder on December 6, 1947 and she preceded him in death on November 13, 1958. He later married Marie Poll on October 2, 1960 and she preceded him in death on August 8, 2015. Frank enjoyed playing, listening to and watching baseball, had been an avid golfer, was a huge University of Michigan football fan, Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings fan but especially treasured the time he spent with his family. Frank is survived by his children, Greg (Genevieve) Hansen of Fremont; Patricia McGee of Howard City; Bob Frens of Canton; 5 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; his sisters, Elaine Tinney of Grand Rapids; Marilyn (Howard) Swanson of North Muskegon; sisters-in-laws, Carolyn Hansen of Fremont; Laura Hansen of Fremont; many nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Bill McGee; sisters, Carol Strang, Claudia Fox, Geraldine Wolford; brothers, Jim Hansen and John "Jack" Hansen.

VISITATION : Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 11am – 1pm at the First Christian Reformed Church 721 Hillcrest Fremont MI. FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday, October 20, 2016 at 1pm at the First Christian Reformed Church in Fremont with MILITARY RITES at the church following the funeral service. INTERMENT : Maple Grove Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : First Christian Reformed Church.
