Frank C. Morgan, age 86, of Fremont passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Mercy General Health Partners in Muskegon. Frank was born on October 16, 1926, in Detroit, to Frank and Edna (Peterson) Morgan and married Glenna Gillette on June 6, 1947, in Fremont. Frank owned and operated the Sport Shop in downtown Fremont for over 20 years, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Sault St. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians and proudly served his country in the Navy during WWII. Frank enjoyed fishing, winning at cards, was a quilter, and member of the Newaygo VFW Post #4249 and Fremont Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Glenna of Fremont; children, Susan (Kurt) Sanderson of Fremont and Mitch James Morgan of Fremont; grandchildren, John David (Kari) Faltinek, Michael James Morgan, and Melissa R. Morgan; great grandchild, Savannah Lynn Faltinek; brother and sister, LaMont Morgan of Hart and Barbara Rogers of White Cloud, and beloved little dog Crystal. He was preceded by many brothers and sisters. A celebration of Franks life will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2012, from 2 - 5 PM at Camp Newaygo in the Great Room. Camp Newaygo is located at 5333 Centerline Rd. Newaygo, Michigan 49337. For a more lasting memorial, friends are asked to consider the Fremont Orthodox Presbyterian Church or True North.
