Frank L. Opal, age 80 of White Cloud, passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Frank was born on April 15, 1927 in Hamtramck, Michigan to Frank George and Augusta (Locke) Opelwski. Frank has been a longtime resident of the White Cloud area where he had been a home repairman for the Newaygo County Commission on Aging. Frank found great joy in helping others in the community. Frank also served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. He is survived by his daughters, Linda A. Opal of Canton, Michigan; Donna M. (Charles) White of Greenback, Tennessee; Maria R. (Jim) Hastie of Knoxville, Tennessee; 4 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by all his 8 brothers and sisters.
