Franklin J. Frank Burns, age 74 of White Cloud, passed away Monday, February 11, 2008 at his home. Frank was born on May 18, 1933 to Steve and Alice Burns and moved to the White Cloud area in 1965. Frank had been a truck driver and a carpenter, millwright, welder, pile driver with the Local 335 Building Trades Division until his retirement in 1991. Frank married Georgia Cook on March 6, 1971 in Grand Rapids. He enjoyed antique tractor and old engine shows and blue grass festivals and attended many throughout the Midwest and had enjoyed hunting in the State of Wyoming. He is survived by his wife, Georgia of White Cloud; children, Suzanne Cook of White Cloud; Lorayne Wisner of White Cloud; Steven (Nancy) Cook of White Cloud; Gregory (Pam) Cook of White Cloud; Joe & Karrie Burns of Stanton; John of Arkansas; Becky of Vestaburg; Jennifer of Greenville; Terry of Grand Rapids; Raymond of Grand Rapids; Judy of Grand Rapids; Debbie of Grand Rapids; Lynn all of Trufant; Connie of Davidson; 35 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; his sisters, Berniece Schneider; Ruth (Rex) Middleton; Barbara Skelonc; Janet (Paul) Harris; Kay (Phil) Hallock; brothers, Dan (Nancy) Burns; sister-in-law, Dolores Burns. He was preceded in death by his sister, Bertha Kent; brothers, Steve and Robert; step son, Jeffrey Cook. Funeral services were held on Friday, February 15, 2008 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Pastor Bernie Allison of the Christian Builders Mission presiding with interment in the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery presiding.
