Fred V. Truschke, age 61 of Holton, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2001 at his winter home in Florida. He was born on June 10, 1939 in Holton to Victor and Margaret (Perdew) Truschke and has been a lifelong resident of the Holton Area where he had been a nationwide truck driver for the Robinson Cartage Company. He married his wife, Kathleen on November 10, 1984 in Muskegon. He was a member of the Holton American Legion, Cobb, Trygstad Anderson Post #397. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen of Holton; children, Fred (Tracy) Truschke of Traverse City; Daniel (Kristi) Truschke of Fremont; Charlotte (Jeff) Meyer of Bark River, MI; Teresa Herioux of Bradenton, FL; stepchildren, Jeff Coburn of Holton; Kim Vega and John Plouhar of Muskegon; Rex (Michele) Coburn of Pueblo, CO; Steven Coburn of Muskegon; Tonya Dykes of Ocala, FL; Andy Coburn of Ravenna; 15 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Zagers of Fremont; sister-in-law, Esther Truschke of Baton Rouge, LA. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Fred Truschke and Jim Dailey. Funeral memorial services were held on Saturday, March 17, 2001 at 2:00pm from the Crandell Funeral Home Chapel in Fremont with a time of visitation with the family from 1pm-2pm at the funeral home.
