Frederick Edward Geigle, age 92 of Fremont, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015, at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Fred was born on March 28, 1923, in Grand Rapids to Fred and Lydia (Schultz) Geigle and married Lorraine Leslie Jennings on April 24, 1948, in Grand Rapids. Fred was a mail carrier in Grand Rapids and had served in the United States Marine Corp. Fred was a member of the Furniture City American Legion Post#258 and member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fremont. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, golf, shuffle board, and doing puzzles with Lydia. Fred is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine; children, Gary Frederick (Dawn Renae) Geigle of White Cloud and Deborah Lorraine (Thane Barden) Coombs of Hudsonville; grandchildren, Gary (Nicole) Geigle Jr., Mike Geigle, Lydia Geigle, Tracy (Marty) VanHeulen, Carrie (Brad) Columb, Katie (Mark) Crego, and Betsy Barden; great-grandchildren, Reece, Landon, Brooke, Paisley, Brayden, and Michael Anthony. Funeral services will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, December 23, 2015, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fremont with Rev. James Schouweiler officiating. There will be a time of visitation to greet the family one hour prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be in Sherman Township Cemetery.
