Zerlaut, Floyd S. Floyd S. Zerlaut, age 90 of Holton, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2006 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Floyd was born on September 5, 1915 in Holton, Michigan to Martin and Elizabeth (Storms) Zerlaut and has been a lifelong resident of the Holton area where he farmed his entire life on the same farm his father had farmed before him. Floyd married Lydia A. (Kriesel) Anderson on September 1, 1951 and she preceded him in death on December 28, 1985. He later met and married Alice (Adkins) Coon on June 16, 1986 in Holton. Floyd was a member of the Holton United Methodist Church. Floyd had served the North Muskegon Soil Conservation District for 28 1/2 years from 1951-1980 and also served 40 years on the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Committee of the United States Department of Agriculture. He is survived by his wife, Alice of Holton; several nieces and nephews from the Zerlaut Family; several step children, nieces and nephews from the Coon Family; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his brothers. Funeral services were held April 6 at the Holton United Methodist Church with Rev. Leonard Coon presiding with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery in Holton. Friends may consider the Holton Scholarship Fund at the Holton Public Schools for memorial contributions in memory of Floyd.
