Gail V. Chandonnet, age 80 of Fremont, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 23, 2018. Gail was born on September 3, 1937 in Pontiac, Michigan to Willard and Victoria (Bialik) Harris and later moved to Muskegon where she graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central High School, Class of 1955. Gail married Ronald Chandonnet on June 29, 1957 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Muskegon. Gail had been a transcriptionist and legal medical secretary for various law offices in the West Michigan area prior to her retirement and then Gail and Ron moved to Arizona where they spent 15 years of their retirement prior to moving to Fremont in December 2001. Gail had been an avid reader, enjoyed playing cards and golf. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Gail is survived by her husband, Ron of Fremont; her son, Jeff (Cindy) Chandonnet of Linden, Michigan and their children and Gail's great grandchildren – Jen (Rodney) Robeson and children, Delaney and Brianna; Missy (Jon) Vandenburg and children, Owen, Ella, Jack, and Kyli; Scott (Sara) Colvin and children, Alexis, Austen, and Mason; her son, John (Judy) Chandonnet of Fremont and their children and Gail's great grandchildren – Jeff (Lacey) Chandonnet and daughter, Grace; Katie (Eric) Kalvaitis and son, Roman; Tony Chandonnet; her sister, Joyce (Norm) Howell of Midland; several nieces and nephews. Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Victoria Harris and her brother, Willard Harris. VISITATION : Monday, April 9, 2018, from 9:30am to 11:00.a.m. at the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Brunswick.
