Gail M. (Ranger) Grandon, age 80 of Fremont and Newaygo, passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023 at her home following a gradual decline in her health. Gail was born on May 3, 1942 in Newaygo to Claude and Emily (Hiler) Ranger and graduated from Newaygo High School in 1960. Gail met and later married Billy G. Grandon on April 19, 1963 in Newaygo and Billy preceded her in death on May 3, 1999. Gail has been a lifelong resident of the Newaygo area where she had been a Social Worker with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services for many years until her retirement in 1997. Gail enjoyed doing puzzles, watching television, traveling, playing solitaire and reading. Gail is survived by her children, Lee (Margaret) Grandon of Newaygo; Julie Blanker of Fremont; Brian (Tina) Grandon of Sand Lake; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; her brother, Allen Ranger of Muskegon; her sister, Charlene Corrigan of California; several nieces and nephews. Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Billy; her parents, Claude and Emily Ranger; her sister, Joanne Christensen.
