Gary Dewayne Berggren, age 77, of Hesperia went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 16, 2022. Gary was born on October 23, 1945, in Chicago to Hulger Richard and Lorraine Sylvia (Rutkoski) Berggren and later married Betty Mae Stoneburner on May 29, 1999, in Muskegon. He worked at Family Farm and Home in Newaygo but has had a long career in sales management of construction materials. Gary attended Freedom Bible Fellowship in White Cloud and Life Everlasting Church in Muskegon and shared God's Love through bible study. At the age of 76, Gary graduated from Charis Bible College – Grand Rapids Campus as a Pastor and considered this one of the proudest achievements of his life.
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Betty; children, Rick (Missy) Berggren of Indiana, Kristine (Jeff) Ryman of Florida, Elizabeth Shidler of Shelby, and Tammy (Don) Dickeson of Indiana; grandchildren, Elisabeth, Stephen (Kristy), Ian, Lucy, Carissa, McKenzie, Caden, Jordin, Samantha, TJ (Kodi), and Jason; 9 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, Andrew Berggren, Jeanine (Kris) Doub, and MaryAnn Penninger.
A Celebration of Life for Gary will be held on Saturday May 20, 2023, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the White Cloud Rotary Park (accross from the mill pond).
