Sereiko, Gary Gary Sereiko, age 49 of Newaygo and formerly of Chicago, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2004 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. He was born on April 4, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois to Daniel and Gloria (Visser) Sereiko. He had been a ironworker and millwright at Acme Steel Company in Detroit for several years until his retirement. He moved to the Newaygo area in 2002 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed mushroom hunting. He is survived by his wife, Sheila Hosty of Newaygo; his children, Jason (Cheri) Sereiko of Frankfort, Illinois; Nicole Sereiko of Indiana; Dannielle Sereiko Hosty of Newaygo; Jack Jordan of Chicago; Jennie Jordan of Chicago; his mother, Gloria Christensen of Chicago Ridge, Illinois; 5 grandchildren; his brothers, Jack (Maryanne) Sereiko of Chicago; Jim (Gail Sereiko of Oak Lawn, Illinois; Tom Sereiko of Diamond, Illinois; Mike (Wendy) Sereiko of Chicago; several nieces and nephews; 1 uncle, Peter Grener of Chicago. He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel Sereiko. Funeral memorial services were held on Saturday, April 17, 2004 at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel.
