Gayle Elaine Spaulding, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 28th, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on Saturday, May 15th, 1954, in Muskegon, Michigan, Gayle lived a life full of love, generosity, and joy.
Gayle was a dedicated and valued employee in the aerospace manufacturing industry, committing 38 years of service at Howmet. Her commitment and diligence were echoed by her involvement with the union brothers and sisters from local 1243, showcasing her dedication to her colleagues and community. Gayle had a zest for life's simple pleasures. She loved dancing, singing, baking, playing cards, and playing the piano, often filling her home with music and laughter. Known for her impeccable style and warm spirit, she was always "put together" and had a generous heart, touching the lives of everyone she met. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness and pride.
Gayle is lovingly remembered by her husband, Glenn Spaulding, with whom she shared nearly 45 beautiful years of marriage since their wedding on June 28, 1980. She is also survived by her children; Jason (Becky) Eagle, Melissa Segura, and Glenn (Kinsey) Spaulding Jr. Her legacy lives on in her cherished grandchildren; Alicia Segura and Isiaac Garza, Nathan (Beka) Eagle, Brennen Delonge, Bubba Segura, Johnny Segura, Elaina Spaulding, and Jayde Spaulding, as well as her great-grandchildren: Oliver and Oscar Garza, and Sophia Segura. Gayle is also survived by her siblings Cheryl (Charlie) Rose, Ginny (Steve) Martin, and Michael (Polly) Eagle, brother-in-law Ed Crabtree, as well as many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and close friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Everett and Maxine Eagle, and her sisters, Diane Crabtree and Kathy Miller.
In honor of Gayle's generous spirit and her battle with cancer, donations can be made to the Trinity Health Breast Center fund, continuing her legacy of giving and love. Friends and family are invited to a visitation at Crandell Funeral Homes Inc in Fremont, MI, on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 am at the same location. Arrangements are provided by Crandell Funeral Home - Fremont.
