Gayle D. Wolgamott age 64 of Bitely, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at his home. Gayle was born on June 22, 1953 in Baldwin to Labon and Maxine (Hill) Wolgamott and graduated from Walkerville High School. Gayle later married Loretta Vormittag on September 4, 1976 in Grand Haven. Gayle worked for the family business, Wolgamott and Hammersley Tree Service for 30 years and then began work at the Lowe's store in Ludington where he worked for 6 years until his retirement. Gayle has been a lifelong resident of the Bitely area where he enjoyed watching sports on television, fishing, hunting, woodworking and remodeling his home and cabin. He also enjoyed dog sitting for his grand dogs and visiting with his and Loretta's friends at Lowe's.

Gayle is survived by his wife of 41 years, Loretta of Bitely; his children, Hilary (Matt) Vanderkooi of Muskegon; Jordain (Kristopher) Kraai of Whitehall; Labon (Dayna) Wolgamott of Macomb, Michigan; Craig (special friend, Jennifer Lawrence) Wolgamott of Grand Haven; his grandchildren, Hunter and Brendan Vanderkooi of Muskegon; his sister, Cleta (Don) Hammersley of Bitely; his brother, Dana Wolgamott of Morley; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Labon and Maxine; his sister, Ruthie Wolgamott and his brother, Craig Wolgamott.

VISITATION : Friday, December 8, 2017 from 4-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412.
