Gaylord O. Wood, age 70, of Fremont passed away on Friday April 24, 2015 at his home. Gaylord was born on January 22, 1945, in Muskegon to Lambert Calvin and Arlene Lelia (Hart) Wood and was a truck driver for Spartan Foods in Grand Rapids. Gaylord was a member of the Teamsters, enjoyed fishing and golfing, was a Tigers fan, and had served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Gaylord is survived by his daughters, Tracie Wood of Fremont, Misty Wood of Fremont, and Wendy (Darrin) Robeck of Fremont; grandchildren, DeQuinten Wood, Isiah Wood, Rhiana Bentley, and Declan Robek; brother, John (Leah) Wood of Colorado; sister, Susan (Dennis) Brooks of St. Joseph; brother-in-law, Richard Christoffersen; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his sister Christina Christoffersen. There will be a visitation and time of Celebration of Life on Monday, May 4, from 4 7 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont and then continuing at Spankys.
