Gene A. Schroeder, age 64 of White Cloud, formerly of Muskegon, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010 at his home. Gene was born on August. 8, 1946 in Columbus, Nebraska to Ray and Lorraine (Jackson) Schroeder and married Sharon Rice on May 23, 1964 in Muskegon. Gene had been an iron worker and later retired from the Muskegon County Road Commission where he had been a heavy equipment operator for 15 years. Gene loved spending time with his grandchildren, singing in his music room and collecting antiques. Gene was a wonderful father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family. Gene is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sharon of White Cloud; his daughters, Susan Allen of White Cloud; Karen (Leo) Stout of Ravenna; Kimberly (David) Beets of Fremont; 7 grandchildren, Tammy (Duane) Hamden; Bryan Stout; Thomas Allen; Tracen Allen; Alexandrea Beets; Phillip Beets; Emilee Beets; 2 great grandchildren, Kaiden and Paige Hamden. VISITATION : Wednesday, December 22, 2010 from 12-2pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 2pm at the funeral home.
