Geneva Mable Reed, age 92 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Geneva was born on October 8, 1925 in Woodville to Frank Dewitt and Laura Belle (Wilder) Leady and later married Roland Reed on October 23, 1944 in Fremont. Roland preceded her in death on March 21, 2011. Geneva had been a production worker at Gerber Products Company until her retirement. Geneva enjoyed rose gardening, attending her grandchildren's events, was an avid Detroit Tigers Baseball fan, attending yard sales, making cermics, collecting precious moments bells and antiques, and feeding the squirrels and birds. Geneva is survived by her children, Richard (Evelyn) Reed of Hesperia; Linda (Robert) Loss of Fremont; Laura Stanley of Belding; Robert Reed of Fremont; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; her sisters, Marian Lemaire and Ruth Schurkamp; many nieces and nephews. Geneva was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Carlyle, Margaret, Irvin, Helen, Gladys, Isabelle, Kenny and Charlene.
