Eaton, Geneve June Geneve June Eaton, age 82 of White Cloud, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont . Gen was born on March 23, 1921 in Lansing to George A. and Amelia (Wolever) Guthrie and married Lyle Eaton on April 2, 1939 in Grant. Lyle preceded her in death on September 24, 1977 . She had been a clerk in the receiving department of Gerber Products Company for many years until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud, a member of the Rebekahs, member of AARP, former member of the Macebees; and member of the Democratic Ladies Club. She is survived by her children, Donald (Donna) Eaton of Newaygo; Vernon (Janice) Eaton of White Cloud; Gloria (Alton) Dezess of Fort Pierce, Florida; Kathleen (Robert) Martin of Fremont; daughter-in-law, Joanne Swanson of Cedar Springs; son-in-law, Ronald Roberson of White Cloud; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sister-in-laws, Phyllis Guthrie of Apapco, Florida and Cleo Eaton of White Cloud. Geneve was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle in 1977; her son, Brad Eaton on August 25, 1994 ; her daughter, Karen Roberson on July 28, 2001 ; her sisters, Myrtle LaHoma Hughey on July 24, 1995 and Irene Thumser on March 8, 2000 ; her brother, George Guthrie on May 16, 2000 . Funeral services were held on Friday, January 9, 2004 from the Christ Lutheran Church in White Cloud with Rev. Richard C. Hoogerhyde presiding with interment in the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery . Friends may consider Hospice of Michigan Newaygo County for memorial contributions.
