George W. Brown Sr., age 70, of Hesperia, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009, at Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. George was born on August 15, 1938, in Highland Park, MI, to Samuel and Clara Jean (Hagni) Brown and married Maxine Jones on January 23, 1969, in Muskegon. George worked at Sealed power in Muskegon for many years and was a veteran. George is survived by his children, Sam P. (Tammi) Brown of Hesperia, Joe Derby of White Cloud, Rose (Mark) Aldrich of White Cloud, Tena Toner of California, and Carl Toner of California; sister, Shirley Forsen of California; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine; son, George Brown; brother, Frank Brown; and sister Jean Porter. Interment will be in West Hesperia Cemetery.
