George E. Clayton, age 81 of White Cloud, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2009 at his home. George was born on October 9, 1928, in Grand Rapids to Roland and Carrie (Avery) Clayton and was united in marriage to Barbara King on June 19, 1950 in Cedar Springs. George enjoyed fishing, camping, going to the casino, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Tina (William) Mills of Grand Rapids, Dianna (Harold) Welch of White Cloud, Sharon (Don) Scott of Grand Rapids, George Clayton Jr. of Grand Rapids, Jerry King of White Cloud, and Larry King of Florida; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; sisters, Tina Edminston of Three Rivers and Doris Brigham of Luther; several cousins; and many nieces and nephews Funeral services will be held at 11am on Monday, December 21, 2009, from the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud with Pastor Mark Bushen presiding with interment in the East Nelson Cemetery in Cedar Springs. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Friends are asked to consider memorials to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
