George W. Dixon II, age 43 of Grant, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at his home following a short illness. George was born on February 27, 1970 in Grand Rapids to George W. and Joanne (Isenhart) Dixon Sr. and has been a longtime resident of the area. George had worked as a production worker and enjoyed leatherworking. George is survived by his daughters, Anjelica Dixon; Natasha Dixon; grandchildren, Xavier Dixon; Amelya Briggs-Dixon; his sisters and brothers, Brenda Miller; Tom Dixon; Bill Dixon; Mike Dixon; and Michelle Maquire; his former wife, Ronda Dixon; special aunt and uncle, Happy and Sally Wahmhoff; special friend, Jenny Collins and her son, Jordan VanKampen; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; longtime friends, Deborah and Rick (deceased) Berg and Marshall Chopson. George was preceded in death by his father, George W. Dixon Sr. and by his mother, Joanne Wahmhoff and step father, Elmer Wahmhoff. A memorial gathering will be held on July 5, 2014 at the Lake Forest Park in Grant.
