George E. "Mac" McMenamy Sr. age 60 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. George was born on June 10, 1958 in Garden City, Michigan to Charles John and Virginia Mae (Carriveau) McMenamy and later moved to the White Cloud area in 1988. George had served in the United States Army after high school graduation and later became a corrections officer in Baldwin and worked security services for several years. George enjoyed video gaming, spending time with his family, and hunting and fishing in his younger years. He was also a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud.
George is survived by his children, Eugene McMenamy Jr. of White Cloud; Braden McMenamy of White Cloud; his sisters and brothers, John McMenamy of Livonia; Charles McMenamy Jr. of Fremont; Joe (Sherrie) McMenamy of Chicago; Delores (Robert) LaPointe of Temperance; Veronica (Lenny) Martin of Taylor; several nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Virginia Collins, Carol Martel and Mary McMenamy and his brother, William "Big Bill" McMenamy.
Graveside services with military honors will be held in the spring of 2019 at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in White Cloud. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the George McMenamy family, c/o Crandell Funeral Home, to assist with expenses in memory of George.
