George Morris Haines, age 96, of White Cloud passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at Spectrum Health Services - Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. George was born on June 7, 1921, in Claypool, Indiana, to Walter and Treva J. (Kimes) Haines and married Dorothy "Dottie" Marie Lynnes on March 7, 1943, in White Cloud. Dottie preceded him in death in 2014. They farmed and managed the White Cloud and Croton campgrounds for many years as well as retiring from Gerber Products in 1984. George proudly served in the United States Army during WWII as a Military Policeman and was a lifetime member of the White Cloud VFW Post #2053. George was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

George is survived by his children, Sandra E. (Larry) Cox of Saginaw, Vickie Deam of White Cloud, and Christopher (Katrina) Haines of White Cloud; 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and 16 great great-grandchildren. He was preceded by his wife, Dorothy in 2014; sister, Norma Millington; and son-in-law, Steve Deam. VISITATION: Wednesday, November 29, 2017, from 9:30 AM – 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Family Center. FUNERAL SERVICES: Wednesday at 11 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Deacon Jeff Burns officiating.
