George Henry Elliott, age 86 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 30, 2011. George was born on June 28, 1925 in Detroit to George H. and Agnes (Glonka) Elliott. George moved to Fremont and owned and operated Elliotts Greenhouse and Floral with his wife, Lorraine for 32 years until their retirement. George had served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II in Guadalcanal and also in the invasions of Guam in 1944 and Okinawa in 1945. George is survived by his wife, Lorraine Elliott and by his sisters, Arlene, Mary Ann, Margaret, and Frances. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 2pm at the Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Fremont for family and close friends.
