Dear Family of George and Kay; I am a first cousin to your mother Kay Haan. Her father Peter and my father Enno Haan were brothers. My father was the oldest of 14 children born to Chris and Katie Haan, your Great Grand-Parents. I learned that your brother died a few months ago and I then talked with Uncle Cliff. I visited your father soon after the death of your mother in the Fremont area. Your mother was a foster mother for D. A blodgett Homes for Children several years ago and I was Director of the Adoptions Department at that time. She later adopted your youngest sister who needed a permanent home and family, and your parents asked to keep her as their own. I have always thought that was quite wonderful! I am now the oldest of the " Haan Tribe". My sister Eunice Haan Wagner died five years ago and she was the oldest at that time. Your mother then became the oldest and with her death, I then became the oldest. I am 81 years young but will be 82 next month. I am in good health and enjoy life. I remember when I visited with your father that he had many little dogs living with him. They too will be sad to have him gone as will all of you. Please accept my warmest regards to all of you and God Bless. Cousin Bob ( Robert) Haan Grand Rapids, Mich.
