Stevens, George George Stevens Jr., age 84 of Chandler, Arizona, formerly of Holton, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at his home in Chandler. George was born on February 26, 1922 in Kalamazoo to George and Edna (Marron) Stevens Sr. and later married Eleanor M. Wentworth on November 27, 1945 in Muskegon. George had been a carpenter for the American Store Company until his retirement and was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He served as clerk in Blue Lake Township for many years. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor of Chandler, Arizona; his sons, Arthur (Robin) Stevens of Holton; George (Cindy) Stevens III of Tempe, Arizona; 3 granddaughters and 3 grandsons; 3 great granddaughters; 2 great grandsons.;1 sister, Phyllis Haupt of Phoenix, Arizona. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Badeaux and 1 brother, William Stevens. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 from the Holton United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Selleck of the Holton United Methodist Church presiding with interment in the Oakwood Cemetery in Holton. Friend may consider Banner Hospice of Gilbert, Arizona.
