Gerald "Jerry" A. Rosenberg, age 82 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at his home. Jerry was born on January 11, 1933 in Muskegon to Walter Robert and Evelyn Marie (Bouchard) Rosenberg and later married Patricia "Pat" McCormick on July 17, 1954 in Muskegon. Pat preceded him in death on June 17, 2015. Jerry served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Jerry graduated from Michigan State University in 1961 and had been a teacher in the building trades department at the Career Tech Center for many years until his semi-retirement, but continued to substitute teach at the Career Tech Center up until the current time. Jerry had also been a home painter in the Fremont area for many years. Jerry was a member of the All Saints Catholic Church in Fremont where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Jerry was an avid Michigan State Fan and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and following their activities in life. Jerry is survived by his children, Chris (John) Haggerty of Muskegon; John (Traci) Rosenberg of Fremont; Katy (Rob Doepker) Rosenberg of Hilton Head, South Carolina; 8 grandchildren, Jeremy, Trish, Jonathon, Kristi, Mari, Armond, Paige and Trevor; 5 great grandchildren; his brother, Tom (Lanue) Rosenberg; sister-in-laws, Anita Rosenberg; Mary Beth (Tim) Froncek. Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter, Joni M. Webb; grandson, Andrew Webb Jr.; his sister, Charmaine Soful; brothers, Darrell Rosenberg and Richard Rosenberg.
