Gerald J. Booher, age 83 of Hesperia, passed away Friday, May 10, 2002 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. He was born on October 2, 1918 near Huber, Michigan to James H. and Manilla (Gleason) Booher. Gerald graduated from Hesperia High School in 1936 and had worked at the Howmet Corporation until his retirement 1981. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy where he served in the South Pacific during World War II. He married Crystal Johnson on April 15, 1940 and they had 7 children together. He later married Katherine Herbert on February 17, 1969 He is survived by his wife, Katherine; 3 sons and daughter-in-laws, Mike and Linda Booher; C.J. and Connie Booher; Bill and Jackie Booher; 4 daughters and son-in-laws, Jerry and Sharron Tozer; Jerry and Nancy Robinson; Gene and Rae Lynn Thompson; Raymond and Laura Thompson all of Hesperia; grandchildren, Bill and Toni Rumsey; Mark and Wendy Tozer; Dawn Tozer and Henry Zuniga; Kevin Booher; Richard Booher; Brett and Tracey Booher; Dave and Marla Rieth; Dick and Michelle Wallace; Paul Booher; Chris Booher; David Robinson; John Robinson; Chris and Gayle Cooper; Troy and Sharra Cook; Darren and Terry Brandt; 22 great grandchildren; brothers, Mark Booher; Dale Booher; Wesley "Quinn" Booher; Jim Booher; Dennis Booher; brother-in-law, Frank Reynolds; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Joy Booher and Jane Booher Reynolds; brother, Dick Booher. Following Geralds wishes, cremation has taken place.
