Gerald "Jerry" Edward Ball Sr., age 79 of Newaygo, passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018, in Newaygo. Jerry was born on October 26, 1938 in Whitley County, Kentucky, to Fred and Florence (Strunck). He later met and married Diane Frances Russo, on September 25, 1961 in Newaygo. Jerry has been a resident of the Newaygo area for the past 50 years where he enjoyed fishing, gardening, farming, and raising chickens. Jerry proudly served his Country in the United States Navy Jerry is survived by his children, Marie (Steve) Graham of Newaygo, Joseph (Teresa) Ball of Newaygo, Gerald (Mickey) Ball of Florida, Michael (Tammi) Ball of Howard City, and Jimmy (Jennifer) Ball of Missouri. To include 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, Gary (Elaine) Ball of Newaygo and Larry (Sue) Ball of Newaygo. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife Diane, son Jeffrey Ball, sister Barbara Hurst, and brother Ronald Ball. VISITATION: Tuesday 6-8pm at Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES: Wednesday at 11 am at the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud with officiating Pastor Frank Taylor from the Deerfield Bible Church in Morley.
