Geraldine V. Jones, age 86 of White Cloud, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Hollands Hospice House in Holland following a short illness. Geraldine was born on March 25, 1927 in Grand Rapids to Louis and Hanna (Hill) Rinks Sr. and later married Forest V. Jones on July 4, 1952 in Grand Rapids. Forest preceded her in death on June 28, 1996. Geraldine has worked at Kelvinator for a period of time and later became a homemaker where she enjoyed crocheting and knitting and knit many hats and mittens for hundreds of children over the years. Geraldine moved to the Diamond Lake area from Grand Rapids in 1986 but had spent many summers at Diamond Lake prior moving permanently. Geraldine is survived by her children, Brad Jones of White Cloud; Brent Jones of White Cloud; Lori Ann (Don) Tapley of Holland; her granddaughter, Amanda Tapley of Holland; her sisters, Mary Lou Tjepkema of Wyoming; Shirley Millet of Wyoming; her brother, Kerwin Rinks of Wyoming; several nieces and nephews that Geraldine considered her grand children as well. Geraldine was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Rae Jones in October 1954; her son, Brian B. Jones on November 13, 1988.
